The short version
The converters on this site run entirely inside your browser. Heights and measurements you type are never sent to a server, never stored, and never seen by us. The only thing kept on your device is your choice of light or dark theme.
Who runs this site

What the converters do with what you type
Nothing leaves your device. The conversion arithmetic is JavaScript running in your browser, so a height you enter is calculated locally and discarded when you close the page. There is no server-side processing, no database, and no account system. We could not retrieve what you typed even if asked to.
What is stored on your device
One item, in your browser's local storage: your theme preference — whether you chose light, dark, or to follow your system setting. It stays on your device, is never transmitted, and exists only so the site does not flash the wrong colours on your next visit. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.
What our hosting provider records
Like effectively every website, the servers delivering these pages keep standard access logs. These typically include your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string. They are generated by the hosting infrastructure for security and reliability, not by us for tracking, and we do not use them to build profiles or identify individual visitors.
Advertising
This site does not currently show advertising and sets no advertising cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated before any ads are served, and — where the law requires it — you will be asked for consent before any advertising cookie is set.
Analytics
This site uses no analytics service. There is no Google Analytics, no tracking pixel, and no third-party script measuring your behaviour.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you the right to access the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to or restrict its processing, and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. Because this site holds no accounts and stores nothing you type, there is in practice very little data to act on — but if you believe we hold something about you, write to contact@bodytranslation.com and we will respond.
Children
This site is a general-purpose utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page will change with it. Material changes — such as introducing advertising or analytics — will be reflected here before the change takes effect.
